From the book

The Bestiary is the third volume of The Atlantean Trilogy, a fantasy series built around the legendary lost world of Atlantis. It gathers more than a hundred creatures and beings from the myths and legends of many cultures. Some, like the unicorn and the dragon, will be known to nearly every reader, while others come from obscure sources and may surprise even dedicated fantasy fans. Taken together, these strange and exotic beings make up a mythos of their own, that of the Age of Atlantis.

Every entry is described in detail and illustrated by Marvel Comics artist Bill Sienkiewicz. Full statistics for each creature, notes on the animals of the Antediluvian Epoch and an alphabetical index are gathered in the appendices at the back. The other books in the trilogy are the second edition of The Arcanum, covering Atlantean magic and alchemy along with a complete game system, and The Lexicon, an atlas and encyclopedia of the Antediluvian Age.
