Brings back to life someone slain within the past day, provided the body is reasonably whole; the revived person has very few hit points.
From the book
The caster calls back the spirit of someone recently slain and restores that individual or creature to life. If the death happened no more than 24 hours earlier, the spell always succeeds with no save needed. It fails if the corpse has been destroyed or is severely damaged. A reasonably intact body is revived, but the person returns in a very weak state with only 1-4 hit points.

A scene
The pearl diver from Manawak went down yesterday afternoon and came up much too late. Her family has kept her wrapped in cool leaves ever since, hoping. The shaman kneels beside the body, calls her name into the four winds and pulls, hand over hand, as if hauling in a net. The girl's chest jerks. She coughs up seawater and a little blood, and lies gasping, too weak even to lift her head. It will be weeks before she can dive again, but her mother does not care about that.
