Splits the caster's mind and spirit into two independent selves, so he can sleep and act, or travel as a spirit while staying active; each half has half the hit points and magic saves suffer.

Drawing on the spirit forms he has bound, the caster splits his conscious mind and spirit into two separate selves. He might sleep while his other self carries on with physical tasks, or roam in spirit form while staying aware of and moving his body. If someone tries to Charm or Influence him in this state, he gets two saves and is affected only if both fail.
The price is fragility: each half has only half his total hit points, and all saves against magical attack suffer -4 while he is divided. The spell cannot split him into two physical bodies. It lasts 10 minutes per level.

A scene
The court magician of Tang has a gift for charming guests, and the shaman from the Northlands knows it. So before the banquet she divides herself in two. One self eats rice cakes and smiles politely at the Emperor's jokes. The other watches from somewhere behind her eyes, calm and wary. When the magician's charm comes, soft and sweet, the smiling self begins to nod along, but the watching self does not, and so she does not agree to anything at all. She knows she is fragile tonight, but it is worth it.
