Tells the caster which compass direction they face, in any terrain.

The caster divines which way they are facing at the moment of casting, north, south or otherwise, and the answer is always correct. It works whatever the terrain or lie of the land around the caster. There is no save and no variation by level.

A scene
Three days into the weed of the Sargasso Sea the fog is so thick the lookout cannot see the bowsprit, and the captain has stopped pretending he knows where the ship is pointing. Kallias, a passenger with ink-stained fingers and an astrologer's ring, climbs to the quarterdeck, closes his eyes and speaks a short phrase to stars he cannot see. Then he lays his hand flat on the rail. We are facing north-north-east, he says. The helmsman swears, spins the wheel, and the ship comes slowly about.
