Makes a block of non-living material as large as 10x10x10 ft., within 100 ft., decay into ruin in an instant. Wooden beams, bridges and the like rot and fall apart, iron rusts through and loses its strength, and stone crumbles into dust. The decay is immediate and no save is allowed.

A scene
The Tharshi raiders have pulled up their drawbridge and are jeering from the walls of their stolen fort. Sabir, a wizard with a necromancer's grim patience, walks to within a hundred feet of the wall, points at the thick oak and iron gate, and speaks. The wood blackens and slumps like wet bread. The iron bands blister into flaking red rust. In the space of a breath the whole gate collapses in a heap of rot and dust, leaving an open archway. The jeering stops. Sabir's mercenaries stroll in through the gap.
