A streetwise character knows how to handle the rough side of town, gaining +2 on any save vs CHA made when dealing with outcasts, toughs or thieves of any kind.
It cannot be bought with experience points. The only way to gain it is by growing up among, or living with, outcasts, and a character from any other background needs at least two months of that kind of schooling. Outcasts and city dwellers may choose it as a background skill, while aristocrats are barred from it altogether.
