Handle a horse or burro at speed (not mounted combat). 100 XP.

Riding lets a character manage a horse or burro under any conditions, though fighting from the saddle needs the separate Mounted Combat skill. A character without Riding must save vs DEX or be thrown whenever he or she pushes the mount faster than a trot. Barbarians and villagers can take it as a background skill, and it costs 100 XP to learn.
