Golems

Skill, Magical/Alchemical

Building clay, stone or metal golems and living statues animated by alchemy or magic.

From the book

Golems are huge, statue-like humanoids of clay, stone or metal given a basic, sentient life by alchemy or magic, though no independent thought. A clay golem needs 200 lb of clay per foot of height, stone 360 lb and metal 450 lb. An alchemist adds a fluid ounce of aqua vitae to the material, while a spell caster must cast Animate Object every day. Building takes 6, 8 or 12 weeks for clay, stone or metal, plus 1, 2 or 3 weeks per 2 feet over 6 feet. Hiring an engineer, sculptor or scholar halves the time and adds 25% to the base 65% chance, and an alchemist working with a wizard, sorcerer or magician also halves it.

Every golem is immune to ordinary weapons, poison and magical control, has Speed 8, attacks once a round and adds a point of damage per foot of height. It cannot think for itself: it holds up to three simple standing orders, or else obeys its master while he or she is present. Clay golems take 6 damage per foot, are hurt only by earth spells, armor as leather, strike as 10th level monsters for 3d8 and stand up to 8 feet. Stone golems take 7 per foot, yield only to stone spells, armor as chain, strike for 3d10 and reach 10 feet. Metal golems take 8 per foot, are harmed only by electrical spells, armor as plate, attack as 12th level monsters for 3d12 and reach 12 feet. Living statues match stone golems but can be sculpted in any shape and size, such as gargoyles or unicorns; they move at half their model's rate, require a sculptor, and winged ones can fly if 12 doses of flying potion are added.
