The best of the three shields, priced at 20 G.P. Iron shields count as superior-quality goods, so their saves against breakage are doubled.
Like every shield, it prevents undefended attacks on the shielded flank, grants +2 when parrying, and can batter an opponent for 1-6 bludgeoning damage with +2 to hit, trying for a knockdown at the non-proficiency penalty. Corsairs tend to avoid shields and metal armor because they live on the water.
