Bronze/copper shield

Equipment, Shield

A metal shield of bronze or copper. Shields prevent undefended attacks from the shielded flank, add +2 to parry rolls, and can bash for 1-6.

From the book

A metal shield costing 10 G.P. For saving throws it generally counts as average-quality goods and saves normally when a tied parry puts it at risk.

All shields block undefended attacks from the shielded side, give +2 to parry rolls, and can bash for 1-6 bludgeoning damage at +2 to hit, with a knockdown attempt allowed at the non-proficiency penalty. Magical shields add their rating to parries, and enchanting a shield with orichalc takes 3 ingots per +1.
