An untrained eagle costs 50 G.P. or more, twice the price of an untrained hawk.

Animal trainers cannot train a creature of higher level than themselves, which is why many prefer to start with young animals. The eagle is also among the power animals that may answer a shaman's summons as a guardian spirit.
