A guard dog costs 10 G.P., twice the price of a hunting dog.
Under the Animal Training rules, taming a domestic animal takes 18 weeks plus its level, minus one week per point of the trainer's Charisma. After that it can learn simple commands, adding one per month of training, and each extra command usually doubles its worth.
