Ale (pint)

A pint of ale costs 5 C.P. at a tavern or inn, the cheapest drink on the list.

Each drink calls for a save vs Constitution. A first failure leaves the drinker feeling good (+1 Charisma, -1 Dexterity, -1 Will); a second means intoxication (-1 Charisma, -2 Dexterity and Will, -2 on attack and defense rolls); a third means passing out for 10-20 minutes, still drunk on waking. Only sleep restores sobriety.
