An alchemist shapes a clay golem beside copper furnaces and a homunculus in a jar, with whales drifting past a sunken city beyond.

Mummification

Alchemy, Advanced necromantic ritual

Embalming a humanoid corpse with myrrh, a necromancer-only secret, so that after a waiting period sealed in linen and sarcophagus it rises as a sahu (mummy).

Also called Sahu

From the book

Making a sahu, or mummy, starts with embalming a humanoid corpse using 13 ounces of myrrh, which takes the necromancer a full week. Only necromancers know how to mummify a body so that it returns to a kind of life.

After embalming, the body must be wrapped in strips of linen and shut away inside a sealed sarcophagus. After as many weeks as the mummified creature had levels, the sahu rises again as an undead being.
