An alchemist shapes a clay golem beside copper furnaces and a homunculus in a jar, with whales drifting past a sunken city beyond.

Dust of Confusion

Alchemy, Alchemical dust

Leaves victims so muddled they seldom manage to act.

From the book

A cloud of this dust leaves its victims utterly bewildered and unable to make up their minds: each has only a 10% chance of settling on a course of action and actually carrying it out. The effect lasts 1 hour. The recipe adds 2 drs. of powdered mercury and 2 cts. of powdered amethyst to the dust base; one dose fills a 10-foot cube, and a save vs Constitution avoids it.
