Yallock

The Yallock is a great tropical forest spreading over the eastern half of Mu. Beneath tall eucalyptus trees grows a riot of plants: giant ferns, palms, bamboo thickets, mango, betel-nut and bitter orange, and spice plants such as cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Three rivers run through it, the Onala, the Fromm and, furthest south, the Currang. Animal life is just as rich, with rainbow-hued parrots, gibbons, orangutans and vine snakes in the canopy, and pythons, komodo dragons, wild boar and dhole (savage wild dogs) on the ground.

The forest's true masters are the Naga, reptilian humanoids who worship Tiamat. What little is known of them comes almost entirely from the Zephyr of neighboring Curracurrang, by way of Melkurion. The Zephyr speak of an ancient stone city hidden in the interior, a maze of winding streets lined with buildings of one or two stories. Even they do not know where or how the stone was quarried, and one elder Zephyr suggested the city stood before the Naga ever came to Mu, an intriguing if perhaps fanciful idea.
