A dense, almost unknown jungle in the northeast of the Salwah subcontinent (the name also loosely covers all southwest Jambu), home to fierce, dark-skinned Dravidians who hide their villages behind traps, attack outsiders with blowguns, spears and clubs, and trust charms and image magic. None of them will enter the Black Jungle.

Dravidia is dense jungle in the northeast of the Salwah subcontinent; the ancient name is often stretched to cover all of southwestern Jambu. Almost nothing is known about it, and it is said to hold many dangers. Its people, the dark-skinned Dravidians, are fierce and reportedly attack outsiders for no reason. Their villages are hidden from intruders and ringed with disguised pits and snares, and they fight with blowguns, spears and clubs, often hunting down anyone who runs.
They are deeply superstitious, trusting in charms, fetishes and talismans of every kind. Their shamans, adorned with strings of human bones and teeth, are adept at herb lore and image magic. Whether from superstition or real knowledge, no Dravidian will ever enter the Black Jungle.
