The Naga race worships Tiamat, an evil goddess in the shape of a serpent or dragon who has mastered black magic and high magic. Wizards, witches, warlocks and evil priests are common among her followers. Both Set, the underworld god of Nubia and Quaddan, and Sefar, the serpent goddess of the Gorgons, may be other manifestations of her.
