A hooded summoner raises a holy symbol as a winged demon and a horned devil rise from smoke in a fiery circle, elementals swirling above.

Vampire

Summoned creature, Undead

A shape-changing undead that performs any single service.

From the book

The vampire is an undead. It has a level of ability of 8 and a Will of 10. Summoned, it will perform any single service. A vampire can change shape into a vampire bat, a wolf or a gaseous form, the ability the Black Magic spell Necromantic Shape Change imitates in limited form, and the herbal elixir Protection from Vampires, brewed from 4 drs. of garlic, guards against them.

Like all undead it comes from the shadow realms bordering Hades and the Abyss, hating the living and feeding on their life energy; any undead met in a deserted place has a 50% chance of being crazed with hunger and will attack whatever the odds. Every undead dreads the power of good, and priests or mystics can turn them. Necromancers and witchdoctors can call one of lower level than themselves with Summon Undead, which needs the circle and triangle but no offering.
