A hooded summoner raises a holy symbol as a winged demon and a horned devil rise from smoke in a fiery circle, elementals swirling above.

Mummy (Sahu)

Summoned creature, Undead

Preserved undead sent to hunt down a foe.

Also called Mummy, Sahu

From the book

The mummy, or sahu, is an undead. It has a level of ability of 6 and a Will of 7. Summoned, it tracks down and kills a foe of its summoner. Only necromancers know how to embalm a humanoid corpse so that it returns to life as a sahu: the work takes a week and 13 ounces of myrrh, and the body must then lie wrapped in linen strips in a sealed sarcophagus for a week per level of the creature before it rises.

Like all undead it comes from the shadow realms bordering Hades and the Abyss, hating the living and feeding on their life energy; any undead met in a deserted place has a 50% chance of being crazed with hunger and will attack whatever the odds. Every undead dreads the power of good, and priests or mystics can turn them. Necromancers and witchdoctors can call one of lower level than themselves with Summon Undead, which needs the circle and triangle but no offering.
