The caster opens a door-like gap or a tunnel through material that is solid or semi-solid. The passage can be no more than 10 ft. high or wide, and up to 10 ft. long per level of the caster. The caster must touch the spot to be opened, and the portal lasts at most 1 hour. There is no save.

A scene
The tunnel collapse at Targrim had trapped nine slaves behind a wall of fallen rock, and the Tharshi regent had already written them off. The magician Marcus, himself a slave, laid his palm against the rubble and pushed. A doorway opened in the rock like a mouth, as tall as a man and wider, and a tunnel ran straight back through the fall into the dark. At the far end he saw lamplight and startled faces. Come quickly, he said. The portal would not stand for more than an hour, and the mountain wanted its stone back.
