A touch that paralyses one creature for several minutes.

The caster paralyzes one creature or being by touch. The paralysis lasts 5-20 (5d4) minutes. As long as the touch lands, the victim gets no save. The duration is rolled each time and does not increase with the caster's level.

A scene
The bounty hunter has been following Ashkan across half the Wilderness of Zin, and at last he catches the warlock asleep, or so he thinks. When he leans in with the manacles, Ashkan's hand snaps up and closes around his wrist. There is no struggle. The hunter goes rigid from head to foot, frozen in a crouch with his mouth half open and his eyes wide, as still as a statue in a desert shrine. Ashkan takes his horse, his water and his boots, and is gone within the quarter hour.
