Evokes a lesser spirit, lesser demon or lesser devil.

The caster evokes a being of the lesser ranks: a lesser spirit, a lesser demon, or a lesser devil. The process, and the special save involved, follow the Summoning Rituals rules. The spell is Non-variable; it is the 4th level member of the High Magic evocations, above Minor Evocation.

A scene
On one of the empty Isles of Zora, the hermit wizard Asenath had spent a full hour inscribing her circle and triangle on the floor of a ruined shrine, burning a costly offering of myrrh and saffron. Now she spoke the evocation. The air in the triangle thickened and turned red, and within minutes it held a lesser demon, a hunched, goat-faced brute with a butcher's grin. It snarled, lunged and struck the edge of the triangle as though it were a wall. Asenath waited. It tried twice more. Then it knelt.
