Vitriol
Alchemy, Advanced alchemical substance
A glassy bonding agent that permanently fuses stone to stone or stone to metal; only alchahest can dissolve it once set.
From the book
A glassy bonding agent made from 7 drams apiece of Rare Earths, clear water, sulphur and powdered copper, plus a single drop of alchahest. It sticks stone to stone, or stone to metal, for good.
A single dose is enough to coat 10 sq. ft. of surface. It grips the moment it touches and sets hard in one full minute, after which nothing but alchahest can dissolve it. A failed attempt carries only a 5% chance of mishap, and a dose is priced at 500 G.P. All advanced substances call for an aludel and an athanor in a fully equipped laboratory. Each takes two weeks to make, with a success chance of 75% +1% per level of ability (99% at most).
