An alchemist shapes a clay golem beside copper furnaces and a homunculus in a jar, with whales drifting past a sunken city beyond.

Necromantic Golems

Alchemy, Necromantic ritual

A golem of flesh or graveyard clay, otherwise like a clay golem, controlled at any range through a mandrake-root image that also lets the necromancer see and hear through it.

From the book

A necromancer can build a monstrous golem of flesh or graveyard clay in a month. It is much like an ordinary clay golem, except that it can be controlled only through a graven image carved from a mandrake root that grew under a hangman's gibbet.

Carving the image into the golem's likeness takes a full week. With it, the necromancer can direct the golem at any distance and see and hear everything it does. Destroying the golem makes the image crumble to nothing, and destroying the image does the same to the golem.
