Taproban is an uninhabited island southwest of Vedda, blanketed in thick jungle. Strange beasts live there, such as the Amphisbaena, a snake-like beast with two heads, and the Alicanto, a bird that eats gold and silver, along with many kinds of tropical birds and snakes. Though the island is said to be rich in gems and precious metals, few people ever visit this wild place.
