Tamaka

Tamaka was settled by dissenters from Salawati who opposed the spread of settled farming on their home island. Wanting to keep their ancestors' semi-nomadic life, they first tried to fight the coming of farms and fenced fields, and were thrown out for it. On Tamaka they live by their beliefs: there are no villages or permanent settlements, only thatched cottages built wherever their owners please and left behind once they start to fall apart.
