Pulo belongs to a tribe of enormous black-skinned ogres who keep a small human population as slaves. Nobody comes here except the shipwrecked or those who do not know what awaits them. Tales also tell of a rich gold mine there, dug by the enslaved humans and in some way reachable from the water, though nobody has ever proved it.
