Pan P'o Province

Pan P'o takes in the land on both banks of the Chan Jiang River and the lawless country west of the Tashu mountains. Most of its people are the small but tough Zuang, who farm the lowlands lying between its two rivers. Beyond the Xun Xi to the south there is ivory and gold in abundance, but getting it is perilous, for reptilian humanoids resembling Gondwana's Ahl-at-Rab live there and reportedly prey on humans who stray into their lands.

Chung in the south deals in ivory, silver and gold, while the seaport of Nanki lives by fishing and by carrying southern and western goods up to the northern cities. The river port of Wu Han, with its tin and lead mines, is a key trading place, and traders from the barbarian western lands bring jade there to exchange for fine Khitan goods such as the silks, perfumes and aromatics of Sin Tao.
