The Gulf of Acua is a warm, tropical, half-moon bay that cuts the eastern part of Tamoanchan in two, emptying into the Atlantean Ocean at a mouth flanked by Birama and Awok. Sea devils from the ocean deep roam it, so it is highly perilous for human sailors, and only a handful of coasting ships trade along its far western end.
In the broad mouth between the gulf's entrance and Mana Sound, bordered by Awok, Oguanabara, Birama and Mana, lies its one major island chain, the Isles of Tirakamba, which are almost all uninhabited, with one remarkable exception.
