Spirit Entities: overview

Creature, Spirit Entities

The spirit world beyond the earthly plane: nature spirits, elementals, astral entities and divine beings, all immortal wielders of magic.

Also called Spirit Entities

From the book

A passage from Hotan's Theosophy opens this chapter. It pictures the spirit world as a series of realms spreading out past our own plane and across the heavens, some lying nearer to our world than others. It is home to spirits of nature, to elementals and astral entities, and to beings born of the divine. Each of these marvelous beings, the passage says, has a hand in creating the life we see around us, and all of them, from the humblest nature spirit up to the mighty Irin and the gods, are immortal and command magic.

In play, every spirit entity shares the same core traits. Ordinary weapons cannot harm them, and they shrug off death magic, curses and poison. Any of them can switch between an ethereal and a corporeal state at will, though the change takes a full minute. They resist magic at 5% per level of ability, to a ceiling of 95%, and no spell of influence or control works on them except the ones built into a summoning ritual.
