Air Elemental

Creature, Spirit Entities

A huge cloud-shaped figure that appears in a whirlwind above its summoner and knows all wind and storm magic. It can grant fair sailing winds, raise or calm storms, join a water elemental to create a Tempest, and attack as a whirlwind.

From the book

An air elemental is a vast, cloudy being with a vaguely human outline. When summoned it appears in the sky above the caster in a whirl of wind. It knows every spell of wind, air and storm, and can teach or cast one to meet its obligation under the pact of summoning. It can also be asked to send fair winds for a sea voyage, or to start or stop a windstorm or tornado.

Air elementals feel a strong kinship with water elementals, and if both are summoned together they can be asked to raise a Tempest. In a fight an air elemental strikes as a whirlwind that does heavy damage to ships and buildings, but it has no power at all over earth elementals.
