Lets the caster watch a familiar location remotely as if present; distance does not matter but metal sheeting blocks it, and it works only on the material plane.

The caster sees what is going on in some chosen place as though he were standing there. The place must be at least familiar to him. Distance makes no difference, but metal sheeting blocks the sight, and the power works only on the material plane. The viewing lasts 1 minute per level of ability.

A scene
Dario the charlatan spent two miserable years as a clerk at the Ebony Dolphin Trade Co., so he knows the counting room in Atlantis down to the ink stains. Now, from a rented bed across the city, he shuts his eyes and there it is: the clerks bent over their ledgers, the manager picking his teeth, the tall iron-plated strongbox in the corner. He tries to peer inside it. Nothing. The iron walls throw back his sight like a slammed door. Dario opens his eyes, swears, and begins to plan something less magical.
