Lichen is a magical plant of refusal. Four drams in wine make the Philtre of Refusal, which makes the drinker reject any suggestion or proposal whatever it is. Six drams of powdered lichen with six of larch and two carats of amethyst make a Dust of Antipathy. Lichen grows in fields and woods and costs 4 S.P. per dram.
