A basilisk's eye carries the power of turning flesh to stone. Ground to powder, 2 drs. of it with the same amount of gorgon's eye make the Dust of Petrification: anyone caught in it who fails a save vs Constitution becomes stone for 24 hours. At 350 G.P. a dram it is among the dearer creature parts, and the Game Judge may rule that no shop stocks it at all.
