An alchemist shapes a clay golem beside copper furnaces and a homunculus in a jar, with whales drifting past a sunken city beyond.

Healing

Alchemy, Herbal remedy

Drunk to restore a few hit points.

From the book

The basic healing draught, taken by mouth, restores 1-8 points of damage. The maker needs any four of nine plants: rosemary, self-heal, periwinkle, moonwort, groundsel, bryony, bindwood, amaranth and all-heal. Taken together with a Sedative, its healing is doubled.

Herbal remedies are the simplest healing magic there is. The maker takes the choicest parts of a whole plant (fresh or dried herbs both work), rather than a weighed amount, and boils them in a fluid ounce of clear water in a small pot or bowl. The work takes 40 + 1-20 minutes with a 99% chance of success, and a ready-made remedy generally sells for about 100 G.P.
