Summons one undead of lower ability level than the caster to carry out a single command; no offering is needed but a magic circle and thaumaturgic triangle are.

Calls one undead creature to serve the necromancer. Only undead of a lower ability level than the caster can be summoned, so more powerful necromancers can command stronger creatures. The undead carries out one command and then goes back to its dismal home plane. No offering is required, though the caster must still draw a magic circle and a Thaumaturgic Triangle.

A scene
Inside the barrow on the downs of Alba lies a ring the necromancer Cadoc wants, and a barrow wight he does not wish to meet in person. So he draws his magic circle and triangle on the turf outside, whispers down into the earth, and calls something far weaker than himself out of the dark: a dead thing that was once a spearman. It stands in the triangle waiting. Fetch me the ring, Cadoc tells it. It goes in, comes out, drops the ring, and sinks back into the ground.
